Senggigi has been developed over the 15 years from a quiet fishing village to become one of the best resting places in the world. Discover Senggigi and the beautiful beaches of the west coast. Go trekking through jungles and rainforests and shower and frolic under a sparkling clear waterfall. Climb the world famous Gunung Rinjani and gaze in awe at the panoramic views across the ocean to Bali and the Gili Islands or south to the famous “Kuta Lombok” surfing beaches.
Lombok is the second most popular tourist destination to Bali.
Bali is very busy with many tourists and the shopping is now of an international standard.

The sister island of Lombok is quieter, has excellent local shopping and fantastic restaurants and four night clubs for the youngsters. Lombok is much cheaper than Bali with better, cleaner beaches and is largely a remote island.

Currently there are no direct flights from Australia to Lombok and access is traditionally through Bali. International flights into Lombok are currently available through Kuala Lumpur and Singapore (www.silkair.com). Most who visit Lombok do so as a combined holiday with Bali.

There is currently an international airport currently under construction on Lombok due for completion in 2010.
